About IYRI Bootcamp

International Young Researcher Innovation (IYRI) Bootcamp 2022 is a program organized by Perpuskita in collaboration with the International Islamic Schools Alliance (Ittishal), and CV.ARCHANA.

The IYRI Bootcamp 2022 is a training and competition activity aimed at the younger generation, especially elementary and junior high school students, dedicated to improving critical thinking and inquiry skills to conduct simple research/discoveries. IYRI Bootcamp 2022 has three areas of activity: Research and Innovation Bootcamp, Video Competition, and Innovation Competition through Presentation. We are providing knowledge to teachers and parents about parenting and how to facilitate children with talents or abilities in the field of research.

Research and Innovation Bootcamp will be held for four weeks. The Research and Innovation Bootcamp aims to provide participants with understanding and experience on “The Importance of Growing a Researcher’s Spirit from an Early Age”. In this case, the training will begin with research motivation, introduction to research, how to find ideas, implementation, and training in writing reports. Especially for teachers and parents, there are also parenting sessions and motivational training for children/participants.

We hope this activity can make a better contribution to the development of research for the young generation in Indonesia.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To become a forum for improving the ability of critical thinking and inquiry patterns so that they are able to carry out simple research/discoveries.
  2. Provide a forum for the younger generation, especially children, to learn and implement research.
  3. Provide a platform for the young generation who have a passion for developing ideas in development for a more sustainable future.
  4. Helping participants improve their soft skills (such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills) based on The Approaches to Learning Skills (ATLS) study.
  5. Provide knowledge for teachers and parents on how to facilitate children or students towards potential children.

THEME

“Growing Future with The Research”

Growing Future with The Research has a philosophy that it is important to introduce research from an early age to children. This is in harmony with The Approaches to Learning Skills (ATLS) study framework which is currently used in international schools. ATLS describes that children have at least 5 basic skills, namely thinking skills, social skills, communication skills, self-management skills, and research skills. Through the International Young Researcher Innovation (IYRI) Bootcamp 2022, it is hoped that it will become one of the activities for participants to be able to implement/develop 5 basic skills that can help them face the world of the future.
